Now not only movies have 3D technology, but now google introduces the latest 3D maps, google is testing  WebGL technology with their maps.
Sources says that implementation of Open GL will help in rotating, zooming and titling easier than the current method of  displaying maps information.Open GL does not require any further software, but currently Google Maps Open GL Beta is  available only for the users of  Firefox beta and google chrome. Now this service is available and you can easily use this service by clicking on the "Want to try something new"? button in the lower left hand corner of the maps page.
